The Lisu are Tibeto-Burman people who are one of the main six hill tribes of northern Thai.
The Lisu Lodge offers hill tribe holidays that include cultural and adventure experiences in the Chiang Mai Province. Named after the Lisu village that is found near the lodge, the lodge is also part of a community-based project that aims to conserve the natural heritage of the hill tribes in Chiang Mai. In this trip, walk through the beautiful natural landscape of northern Thailand while experiencing the traditional Lisu culture.

Upon your arrival at Lisu Lodge about 10 am, you will be served with a welcome drink. Then your host will propose a choice of activities (a guided bike tour around the lodge, a steam bath, a Thai massage, an ox cart ride to farmlands and orchards and a tea plantation tour by bike) that you can choose to do in the afternoon.
Later in the morning, your Lisu guide will take you for a walk through the Lisu hill tribe village. You will start from the Ton Lung temple to view the herbal garden and visit some local families. Stop by the house of the Lisu shaman for a cup of tea and learn about Lisu traditions and belief.
Return to Lisu Lodge for a tasty Thai Lunch. After that, enjoy an activity that you select in the morning. A second additional 1-hour activity can be booked at a nominal charge.
You are also welcome to explore the area around the lodge on a bike by yourself. We will give you a road book of recommended itineraries.
Spend time at leisure until the dinner time and watch a traditional Lisu folk show.
Overnight at Lisu Lodge
After an early breakfast, the morning starts with a three-hour walk. You will first walk through the Lisu village before entering the jungle path. For the next one to one and a half hours, you will walk uphill in a small mountain trail. While walking, you will enjoy the magnificent view of the surrounding area. After reaching the mountain top, you will trek through a forest, passing the same splendid scenery on the other side of the mountain and another hill tribe community.
Returning to the lodge to enjoy a healthy and delicious lunch.
