These communities are also sufficient economic communities which are located on the bank of Khong River, the borderline river between Thailand and Laos PDR. Here, tourists can see the charm of Khong riverside lifestyle.

What to expect
  • Enjoy Khan Tok dinner and local performance.
  • Learn culture and try local foods of 5 tribes at Ban Mae Aeb Village.
  • Take Itak, a local transport vehicle, around the village and see Khong Rive.
  • Go cycling in community‚Äôs fruit orchard.

9.00 a.m. Arrive at Chiang Rai and then go to Ban Saeo. 10.00 a.m. Arrive at the homestay and then learn the lifestyle of Tha Khan Thong villagers.

12.00 p.m. Have Khan Tok prepared by the host for lunch. 2.00 p.m. Take Itak to see Khong riverside scenery. Then, visit Suan Sawaros Village to see sacha inchi field, visit weaving house, and learn traditional rice husking process. 4.00 p.m. Take the boat along Khnog River to watch the beautiful scenery of sunset.

6.00 p.m. Go back to the homestay to have dinner and chat with local. Enjoy your leisure time.

5.00 a.m. Wake up to the morning fresh air and then prepare the offerings for the monks with the host. 6.00 a.m. Give alms to the monks before having breakfast. 8.00 a.m. Relax or ride a bike to see the morning scenery of Khong River and see the way of life of Thai and Laos fishermen.

12.00 p.m. Have Khan Tok for lunch before traveling back.
