Pu Muen Community is located on Daen Lao Range in Mae Sao Sub-district, Mae Ai
District, Chiang Mai which is 174 km or 4 hours away from Chiang Mai’s downtown. Even
though it takes a while to get there, the beauty of Lahu’s way of life will certainly make
up for the travel length.
There are many local activities to do in Doi Pu Muen such as harvesting Assam tea
leaves, seeing the very first Assam tea bestowed by King Bhumibol Adulyadej, visiting a tea
factory and seeing the way of life and folk activities of Lahu tribe. In addition, there are also
nature trails and Pu Muen Waterfall, known as “Nguang Chang " meaning an elephant trunk in Thai, flowing from Doi Pha Luang Mountain or Doi Pha Hom Pok.

8.30 a.m. Meet at Phumanee Hotel and listen to the history of Doi Pu Muen. 9.00 a.m. Travel to Doi Pu Muen by car and stop by a market to buy necessary items. 10.30 a.m. Help the locals prepare Lahu lunch. Learn how to brew tea with locals. Take a walk around the village to see the local lifestyle.

12.00 p.m. Enjoy lunch. 1.00 p.m. Watch the Lahu tribe's performance performed by the locals. Appreciate the beauty of Pu Muen Waterfall. 4.30 p.m. Say goodbye to the community.
